AUGUSTA – Rep. Nancy E. Smith, D-Monmouth, received the Maine Small Business Development Center’s Award of Excellence on March 15.

According to John Massaua, state director for the Maine SBDC, Smith works as co-chair of the BRED Committee on behalf of the citizens of Maine to mobilize economic development throughout the state.

Smith, along with her Senate co-chair Lynn Bromley, D-Cumberland County, were honored at an awards luncheon during the Maine SBDC’s Entrepreneurship and Small Business Symposium celebrating the 30th anniversary of Maine Small Business Development Centers.
