AUBURN – Starbucks Coffee Co. will open its first Auburn store, at 35 Mount Auburn Ave., on Friday, Sept. 16.

Its hours will be Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will employ 17 partners, as it calls employees.

Amanda Paquette is the store manager. Originally from Topsham, she received an associates degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University. Paquette began her career with Starbucks in July 2004. Previously, she’s worked in the culinary field as a banquet manager and various other service positions.

Starbucks will donate day-old pastries to Hope Haven Gospel Mission, a Lewiston soup kitchen and shelter. Starbucks invests in communities through local programming, in-kind donations, encouraging partner volunteerism, corporate case contributions and The Starbucks Foundation.
