Auburn – The Women’s Business Center and Maine Small Business Development Center will hold a workshop on managing cash flow with Excel. It will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at May 4 at the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments Conference Room, 125 Manley Road.

Business counselors Christie MacConnell and Bob Kasputas will present the workshop.

Attendees will learn the fundamental application of Excel spreadsheet software for planning operational cash flow and working capital needs. Examples used will include a bed & breakfast operation and a small manufacturing operation. A review of financial statements will lead into a build-out of a cash flow projection model, followed by views of example operations. Participants will receive a sample template for forecasting cash flow with Excel. Basic knowledge of Excel functions is helpful but not required.
