LISBON FALLS – Burnham’s Family Restaurant, a new family-owned business, opened recently at 580 Midtown Plaza.
Stan and Melodie Burnham and sons Adam and Christopher have opened the eatery. Adam is head chef as well as part owner.
He has three years as a short order cook at Friendly’s before attending one year of business college. Then he went to work for the Narcissa Stone Restaurant at the Captain Daniel Stone Inn, where he started as a line cook and worked his way up to assistant chef.
Adam receives help from three other family members: Nicholas, Jennifer and Mitchell Harmon. Mitchell is a former line cook of the Narcissa Stone Restaurant. His brother Nicholas is attending his first year of culinary arts at LHS with the intent of having his own restaurant someday. The last member of the team is Jennifer Harmon, part-time breakfast cook and full-time waitress, who has had years of experience in the restaurant field.
Burnham’s is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant is closed Mondays. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. All breads, dinner rolls and desserts are baked daily at Burnham’s.
The restaurant also sells pies, pastries and other desserts upon request. For information, phone 353-5772.
