LEWISTON — The YWCA of Central Maine will host an open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by a free open swim from noon to 1 p.m.

Open house attendees will have a chance to meet YWCA management, pool and child care staff, learn about new programs starting this fall, participate in activities for kids, discover new classes offered by Fiddlehead Center for the Arts and Sciences and enter to win door prizes.

The pool will be open for a free swim for all ages from noon to 1 p.m. The pool, the only regulation-size, public pool in the community, is heated and lifeguards will be on deck. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees should bring a bathing suit and towel if they plan to swim. Shower and changing area facilities are available.
