MECHANIC FALLS — There will be a chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, at Post 150,  American Legion, at 41 Elm St.

AUBURN — Pancakes and sausage will once more be on the breakfast menu at the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast to be held from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 4, at St. Dominic Academy.

Mr. Drew and His Animals Too! will be a new addition to the line-up of children’s activities. 

Proceeds generated at the breakfast, Gauvreau said, are used to help fund projects, programs and scholarships for youth throughout Androscoggin County.

Cost: $6.

Breakfasts are served on the fist Sunday of the month.

SABATTUS — The Harry J. Conway Post 135, American Legion, is holding their monthly Community Breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Sunday, June 4, at 40 Island Road. It is open to all members of the local communities.

The June breakfast is traditionally the High School Scholarship breakfast, and is the last breakfast until October.

Cost: $7 per adult; $3 per child 10 and younger.

LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus is offering dining site designed to cater to the Somali community in the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center at 208 Bates St.

The public is invited to attend lunches presented there on Mondays (except holidays) at 11:30 a.m.

Cost: $3.

DURHAM — There will be a public baked bean Supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Acacia Lodge on Route 136.

JAY — There will be a  public supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at North Jay Grange No. 10.

Entertainment will be provided by L & D Country.

Cost: $8 for adults; $4 for children 10 and younger.

LIVERMORE FALLS — Emmanuel Assembly of God will serve a community barbecue meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month from June to September at 17 Reynolds Ave., across the street from the American Legion Hall.

The first barbecue will be held Saturday, June 10. Everyone is welcome.

Cost: Free.
