RANGELEY – Police put an electronic speed sign downtown on Main Street on Wednesday to let motorists know how fast they are going.

The speed limit there is 25 miles per hour, interim police Chief Dennis Leahy said.

The department has the sign for the next two weeks and will be moving it around to different areas to let people know what their speed is for their safety, he said.

Police plan continued enforcement in targeted areas, he said.
