AUBURN – Joan E. Jasper, 74, of Hartford, died Friday, April 17, at the Androscoggin Home Hospice.

She was born in South Portland, on May 22, 1934, the daughter of Linwood and Bernice (Pratt) McKeen. She was a graduate of Canton High School, Class of 1952.

She resided in Sumner for several years prior to moving to Hartford in 1970.

She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years as a mail carrier in Sumner, Buckfield and Auburn until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughters, Penny Jasper and Patty Carr, both of Hartford; her sons, Daniel, Peter and Timothy Jasper, all of Hartford and Michael Jasper of Jay; her grandchildren, Scott Jasper of Cherry Hill, S.C., John Jasper and wife, Brenda, of Canton, Mark Jasper of Hartford, Timothy Carro, Jeremy Jasper and Joshua Jasper, all of Hartford and Caitlyn Jasper of Lewiston; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers, John McKeen and wife, Jane, of Scarborough and Ellis McKeen and wife, Mary, of Gardiner.

She was predeceased by her brother, James McKeen; and daughter-in-law, Linda Jasper.
