RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Gallant was celebrated Tuesday at Parish of the Holy Savior (St. Athanasius-St. John Church) Rumford, with the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur as celebrant. Altar assistant was George Gionet and organist was Mark Belanger. Music included “Be Not Afraid,” “Because,” “The Lord is My Shepherd,” “On Eagle’s Wings” and “You Are Mine.” Readings were given by Beatrice Deraspe and Aggie Kimball. The eulogy was given by Cheryl Wade, who read letters from the family members and Brian Gallant who read the poem “Heaven’s Grocery Store.” Interment in the spring will be at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Pallbearers were Matt Hamilton, Brian Gallant, Dan Hodge, Donald Coulombe, Jason McPherson and Cheryl Wade. A reception followed in the parish hall of Parish of the Holy Savior Church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
