FALMOUTH – Patrick Pelkey, 90, of 225 Gurnet Road, Brunswick, died Wednesday, March 22, at Sedgewood Commons.

He was born in Fort Kent, Aug. 3, 1915, a son of Victor and Agnes Doustou Pelletier. He was married to Rhea Bernier in Atlanta, Ga., March 12, 1957.

Mr. Pelkey operated Pelkey Motors in Topsham, first selling Packards, later Nash automobiles and then American Motors, before selling his business in 1957.

He moved to Florida for a year, where he did automobile restoration. He returned to Brunswick, where he established Pelkey Motors at Cook’s Corner, selling used cars and doing auto repair until retiring in 1997.

He is survived by his wife of Brunswick; two daughters, Lena Pelkey and Donna Burch, both of Brunswick; two sons, David Pelkey and Gerald Pelkey, both of Brunswick; a brother, George Pelletier of Lewiston; two sisters, Corinna Thomas of Lewiston and Anita Plourde of Berlin, N.H.; eight grandchildren, including Tyler Olson and Kyle Olson; 14 great-grandchildren, including Lincoln Olson; and a great-great-grandson.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Ludger Pelkey, Emile Pelletier and Louis Pelletier; and five sisters, Gertrude Randall, Alphena Cloutier, Nora Caron, Exzelia Vatts and Janet.
