SABATTUS — A Greene Street man wanted in connection with a late May assault has turned himself in, police said on Friday.
Urban Blaisdell, 43, surrendered at the county jail in Auburn where he was charged with domestic assault, endangering the welfare of a child, domestic threatening, tampering with a witness and refusing to submit to arrest.
“He is behind bars,” Sabattus police wrote on their department Facebook page, “where he belongs!”
Sabattus police had been searching for Blaisdell for weeks after he fled into the woods folllowing a domestic assault at his home.
Blaisdell has a criminal history of assault. In November, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail after he was convicted in an assault that occurred during the summer of 2016.
He remained at the Androscoggin County Jail Friday night.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
