LEWISTON – Constance “Connie” H. Croteau, 67, of 5 Orestis Way, Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Thursday morning, Jan. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Lewiston, on May 25, 1937, one of five children of Joseph and Roseanna (Theriault) Landry and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
Following her June 14, 1958 marriage to Paul Croteau of Lewiston, she was active in the sporting and scouting activities of her four children. Connie was a devoted and loving mother to her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed gardening, home decorating and spending time with friends and family. She spent many years as a beautician, most recently as the proprietor at the Oak Park Beauty Salon.
She is survived by two daughters, Claire Carroll of Westford, Mass., and Carol Croteau of Lewiston; two sons, Richard Croteau of Frederick, Md., and Paul Croteau of Lewiston; five granddaughters, Taylor, Brea, Kelsea, Jamie and Jessica; one brother, Joseph Landry of Lewiston; two sisters, Yolande Tardif of Auburn, and Diane Janas of Auburn; and one sister-in-law, Claudette Dumont of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul, who died on April 27, 1986; and a sister, Carmen Dufour.
