LEWISTON – Arlene M. Sieckowski, 80, a resident of 6 Goff Ave., Lewiston, died Friday evening at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Lewiston, Feb. 1, 1924, the daughter of Albion M. and Hazel B. (McDonald) Conant.

She attended local schools and was a 1942 graduate of Edward Little High School.

She was a homemaker most of her life but was very active within her community. She volunteered at Central Maine Medical Center having recently received recognition of having volunteered 3000 hours at the hospital.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Club as well as a member of the Fairlawn Country Club Ladies Association, and a member of Robin Dow. She loved kitties and cribbage.

Survivors include her two cousins from New Jersey, June and Lorraine; her dear friend and companion, Bill Prescott, of Auburn; as well as many loving friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Louis H. Sieckowski, who died Dec. 19, 1999, and one brother, Albion M. Conant Jr., who died in 1938.
