1900 – 2003

LEWISTON – Marie J. Ouellette, 102, formerly of 494 Meadowview St. died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at D’Youville Pavilion following a long illness.

She was born in Wallagrass Aug. 7, 1900, the daughter of Octave and Felicite (Belanger) Jalbert. She had been a resident of this community since 1914 and had been employed in the local shoe industry until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Family Church.

She is survived by a son, Rene A. Ouellette of Lewiston; a sister, Nellie Dionne of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the wife of Emile Ouellette, who died on Feb. 17, 1962.
