SUMNER – Peter James McPherson, 24, son of Gary and Diane Wnek McPherson, of 10 Upper Sumner Hill Rd., died early Saturday morning, as the result of an auto accident in Canton.

He was born August 12, 1980 in Charleston, S.C.

A resident of this community since 1996, he was educated in local schools and graduated from Dirigo High School in Dixfield.

He had been employed at Irving’s in Dixfield.

Survivors include his parents, of Sumner; his beloved daughter, Sophie Anne McPherson, of Sumner; a sister, Carrie Ann McMillen and her husband, Corey, of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Jack, of San Diego; his paternal grandfather, Dale McPherson, of Melbourne, Fla.
