LEWISTON – Wallace F. Gagne, 68, a resident of River Road, Greene, died Monday morning, Sept. 20, very unexpectedly at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 2, 1936, in Greene, the son of Wilfred and Annie (Rose) Gagne. He was a 1954 graduate of Leavitt Institute, in Turner. He married Helen Thomas of Lewiston on Oct. 26, 1957, in Greene.
He was a jack of all trades, he worked as a radio technician and retired as a truck driver from Chavendish Agricultural in Wales. He belonged to the Nezinscot Masonic Lodge 101 in Turner and was past Master of the Androscoggin Grange in Greene.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, of 46 years of Greene; two sons, Thomas Gagne and his wife, Julie, of Greene and Scott Gagne, of Lewiston; a daughter, Kathleen Johnson and her husband, Robert, of Turner; two brothers, Ray Gagne and his wife, Audrey, of New Hampshire, and Russell Gagne and his wife, Louise, of Florida; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
