BUCKFIELD — A man was killed early Friday night when his Jeep rolled at least once near the corner of Route 117 and Turner Street.
LifeFlight was called to the area following the 6:30 p.m. wreck but was then canceled.
Police said the man was the only occupant inside the Jeep when he crashed. There were no other injuries.
Oxford County Sheriff’s officials were investigating along with the Maine State Police reconstruction team.
Police said the identity of the victim was being witheld until his family is notified.
Route 124 is also known as Roundabout Road. It’s a four-way intersection surrounded by fields and is about two miles from the area considered Buckfield’s downtown.
