It is time for conservatives to have their actions follow their rhetoric. Those who pushed for this war should be the first ones lining up to fight it. Re-enlistments are down 41 percent in spite of large increases in cash signing bonuses.
Why? Because anyone can see the quagmire that Iraq has become. To push for pre-emptive war, as conservatives have done, but only if someone else does the fighting and dying for you, is the definition of cowardice.
The armed forces need help now. A “Support the Troops” bumper sticker doesn’t cut it.
