I strongly feel the city should make pet owners of any kind pay a tax on their pet.
In my neighborhood, there are so many cats that they just overrun the neighborhood. If the owners of these cats were made responsible for their cats, as owners of dogs are, there would be a few less unwanted cats at the shelters and homeless too.
They’re always in peoples’ garbage and make terrible messes. If these landlords around here would smarten up, they’d allow people to have dogs before cats. Cats are almost twice as destructive as dogs. City fathers should get with it. Start charging for cats too.
