POLAND – The 10th annual Jim Giasson Invitational Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 16 at Fairlawn Golf Course.

A portion of the proceeds will be used to off-set the education costs for the children of Jim Giasson, following his tragic death. Over the past 5 years, the tournament’s success has supported the addition of 2 or 3 scholarships for local high school seniors attending post-secondary institutions. The 2006 scholarships were awarded to Mary Martin of ELHS, who is attending Clark University; Mallory Long, attending the University of New England; and Tyler Dorris, attending the University of Maine at Orono.
