JACKMAN – Two area sled dog racers earned high marks at the recent Jackman Sprint Race sponsored by the Down East Sled Dog Club.

Jeff Brannen of Poland, earned a fourth place finish in the Adult 4-Dog Speed Class with a time of 29:58.

Betsy McGettigan of Norway, finished sixth in the Adult 4-Dog Speed Class with a clocking of 32:31.

The race was sanctioned by the International Sled Dog Racing Association.
