LEWISTON – Champions have been crowned in the Lewiston Rec Fall Tennis League.
Chantelle Lavertu was a triple champion in the tennis leagues. She won the Women’s A Singles title in the summer program and teamed with Chandra Sasseville to capture the Women’s A Doubles crown in the fall. Runner-up was the team of Elaine Dube-Sylvia Leblanc.
In Women’s B, it was Tracey Blaisdell-Abby Blaisdell prevailing, winning a close match over Claudeen Bergeron-Gayle Nyberg, 7-6, 6-4.
In Women’s C, Lorraine Bowen-Iwona Cwik came in first, with Francesca Lally-Lisa Lally a close second.
Steve Norcross-Ron Baril won the Men’s A Division title, going undefeated.
Men’s B champ is the team of George “Flip” Gosselin-Rico Spugnardi, also unbeaten.
In Mixed Doubles, Chantelle Lavertu-Mike Hill prevailed, while Tim Lacombe-Katelyn Ouellette placed second.
According to program director Anita Murphy, “It was another successful season and all enjoyed playing in great weather.”
