VASSALBORO – Auburn’s Tim Millett, a student at NYA, fired a 73 at Natanis Golf Club on Saturday to share top honors with Shawn Keenan of Carrabec at the Class C state individual golf championships.

Seth Sweet of Madison came in third with a 74.

Locally, Richard Paradis of St. Dom’s fired a 79 to finish tied for seventh. His teammate, Greg LaBonte, finished in the middle of the pack with an 81.

Gardiner High School’s Ryan Gay claimed a share of the Class A state golf title again this weekend, but the reigning Maine Amateur champion had some company.

David Gushee of Gorham fired a matching 72 at Natanis Golf Club in Vassalboro to share the Class A crown with Gay. Orin Googins of Gray-New Gloucester shot an 83 to finish in the middle of the pack, 11 shots behind Gay and Gushee.

Quinn Allen of Lake Region is this year’s Class B champion, and Fryeburg’s Pauline Schopp edged Kate Merrill of NYA by two shots, 79-81, to claim the title in the girls’ field.
