PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — The University of Southern Maine baseball team finished its Florida swing Wednesday afternoon by sweeping Gustavus Adolphus by scores of 5-3 and 4-2 at Port Charlotte Stadium.
In the opener, senior Brandon Brewer erased a 3-0 deficit with one swing of the bat, slamming a three-run homer in the fourth inning. The Huskies (7-4) scored the winning run in the sixth inning on an infield error. Sophomore right-hander Josh Armandi picked up his second win of the trip going the distance and striking out three batters along the way. Sophomore left-hander Peter Bergeron notched the win in the second game, after coming in as a reliever in the fifth inning.

Colby 9, Keene 7
WATERVILLE — Tim Brown had four goals and one assist to lift the Colby to a 9-7 victory over Keene State.
The Mules (1-3) led 5-1 after the first quarter and 7-2 at halftime. Zach Goodnough and Ryan Scott both had two goals and one assist for Colby while Dan Schupack also scored. Colby goaltender Jeff Miller tallied six saves to earn the win.
Meade MacKay paced the Owls (0-4) with three goals and one assist. Eric Momnie added two goals and one assist.
