DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Police Department recently handled the following incidents.

Arrest

Peter Williams, 39, Beedy Brook Lane, Dixfield, on charges of operating without a license, failure to stop for a police officer and vandalism, at 11 p.m. Oct. 23. He was released from the Rumford Police Department on $500 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 5.

Thefts

The theft of a school-issued laptop computer valued at $1,500 from a boys locker room at Dirigo High School was reported at 10 a.m. Oct. 7. The school district is working with the state to track it through an implanted device in the computer.

A laptop computer was taken from a parked vehicle on the Canton Point Road sometime before the theft was reported at 4 p.m., Oct. 29.

Vandalism

Someone spray painted an obscenity on the back side of Dirigo High School. It was reported Sept. 28.

Accidents

Kathleen Killiam, 22, of Livermore Falls, struck a deer as she was driving a 2002 Ford Focus along the Canton Point Road at 6:45 a.m. on Oct. 8. The deer was killed. The vehicle sustained no damage.

Courtney Knox, 18, of Peru, collided with a deer as she was driving east in a 1999 Isuzu sport utility vehicle on Route 108. The deer was killed. The vehicle sustained more than $1,000 damage. The accident was handled by the Maine State Police.

School bus assault

Two 15-year-old boys were cited on a charge of assault against another teenage boy on Oct. 8 as they were riding a Western Foothills School District bus.
