PORTLAND (AP) – Cristian Guerrero hit a home run and a triple, scored two runs and and drove in two, to lead the Harrisburg Senators to a 4-3 win over the Portland Sea Dogs on Tuesday.
Beltran Perez (8-5) pitched seven and one-third innings, allowing five hits and one unearned run. It was Portland’s 10th straight loss.
Harrisburg (57-58 ) took a 1-0 lead in the fifth as Guerrero tripled and Greg Thissen knocked him in with a sacrifice fly. The Senators increased their lead to 3-0 in the seventh on Salamon Manriquez’ single and Guerrero’s first homer of the season.
The Sea Dogs (58-56 ) scored a run in the eighth inning when Jacoby Ellsbury reached on Perez’ two-base error. He stole third and came home on Matt Van Der Bosch’s single.
Dan Kolb registered his seventh save.
