FARMINGTON – The Franklin County 4-H Fair will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14, at the Farmington Fairgrounds.

Admission is free both days.

The 4-H Program in Franklin County will be highlighted all weekend, with a variety of activities taking place.

4-H members involved in various project areas will have displays and exhibits.

There will also be large and small animal demonstrations, clinics and shows involving dairy, beef, working steers, horses, sheep, goats and poultry.

Alpacas will be on display from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday by the Worthley Arena.

The Young Farmers swine group will host educational games for their group on Sunday.

The public is welcome to observe the 4-H members in action and ask questions about the program.

The public is also invited to participate in craft workshops taking place on Saturday in the Starbird Building.

All children ages 5 to 8 must be accompanied by an adult to participate.

A bake-off contest will be held as well as a hat-decorating contest and a photography contest.

These too are open to the public. Sunday’s schedule includes an animal costume contest and a pudding eating contest.

The 11th annual 4-H auction will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Starbird Building.

It is the only fundraiser for the 4-H program in Franklin County.

A number of items have been donated. Preview will take place at 6 p.m.
