Nicholas Bourassa of Jay has been named to the dean’s list at Maine Maritime Academy, Castine, for outstanding academic achievement in the first semester of the 2008-2009 academic year.

Students named to the list earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Bourassa, a member of the class of 2012, is majoring in Marine Engineering Technology. He is a graduate of Jay High School.
