WILTON – The Foothills Arts Center will present a variety of winter arts classes and workshops for adults and children. Professional artist-teachers will lead the sessions of creative learning, which include watercolors, theater, mixed-media art, story-telling, drawing, folk-singing, book-making, Spanish and songwriting.
The first set of classes will start Tuesday, Jan. 6, and others will start at different times throughout the winter on weekdays, evenings and Saturdays. People can mix and match from options to suit their schedule, from a one-hour class to a six-week series.
There will be a set of morning visual art classes for toddlers accompanied by an adult, after-school classes for first- through sixth-graders, evening classes for high school students and adults, February vacation workshops for grades kindergarten and up, and art and music classes on Saturdays.
That is a sampling of the 18 winter classes that will take place at Foothills, the region’s community arts center, located in the Bass-Wilson Building.
