Heritage meeting

WEST PARIS – The Finnish American Heritage Society of Maine will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 15, at the Heritage Center, 8 Maple St. Following a brief business meeting, a celebration will be held for Flag Day, comparing the different flag customs between the U.S. and Finland. A coffee social will follow. The public is invited.

Women to meet

PARIS – The Christian Women United will meet Tuesday, June 17, at the First Congregational Church. Luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be Slim Andrews of Lewiston, who will play guitar and sing. Those who have not been contacted and would like a reservation may call Pearl Anderson at 743-5724.

Retired teachers

NORWAY – The Oxford County Education Association-Retired will meet on Friday, June 20, at the Catholic Church on Paris Street. The social period will start at 10:30 a.m. and the business meeting at 11.

There will be a necrology service and the fundraiser will be a yard sale. All retirees and support personnel are welcome. Call 743-7677 to reserve a lunch.
