LEWISTON – The Central Maine Christian Academy recently held its closing program for the school year for parents and friends.

Held at the Court Street Baptist Church, the program opened with music performed by the CMCA chorus and band, made up of students in the seventh grade and up. It was followed by songs from the toddler daycare children and the preschoolers, kindergartners and first- through third-graders. Students from the fourth through sixth grades performed a skit, “Children in Crisis.”

The CMCA chorus and instrumental ensemble played a variety of worship songs and the evening concluded with an interpretive movement titled “Everything,” performed by the senior high art students.

Staff members and volunteers were recognized for their contributions to the school. Included were Jessie Cossaboom, Patricia St. Hilaire, Julie Corff, Mandy Cossabaum, Bonnie Garman, Tammy Paquette, Carol Montana, Lori Duperry, Tammy Boutot, Anne Labonte, Michele Hall, Scott Russell, Tom Clark, Michael Nyberg, Marie Castonguay, Larry Campbell, Lyana St. Hilaire, Eric and Tina Bryant, Harmony Gagne, Megan Corff, Sherry Field and Denva Corff. The school is accepting applications for its toddler daycare program and its 2008-09 school year for students in preschool, kindergarten and grades one through 12.
