VFW to nominate

RUMFORD – VFW Post 1641 will hold nomination of officers at a meeting on Sunday, April 13. Dinner will be held at 6 p.m.

Class luncheon

MEXICO – The Stephens High School Class of 1945 will hold a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Mexico Chicken Coop. Those who plan to attend should call Connie at 364-8785 or Muriel at 545-2709.

Plan quilt show

ANDOVER – The First Congregational Church, UCC, will hold a quilt show on Saturday, Aug. 2, during Old Home Days. Space is limited. Each quilt will require a $3 donation to help defray expenses.

Homemakers

PERU – The Peru Extension Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Peru Baptist Church. Members should bring in items for the raffle basket and items for the nursing home basket as well as a bag lunch.
