LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Sept. 10 with 31 members present. Prior to the meeting a casserole meal was provided by the members, with ice cream and cake for dessert.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.

Members welcomed back Gloria Dalessandro, and Treasurer Marilyn Desoto read her report and it was accepted. Member Armand Bilodeau died recently and members extended prayers and condolences.

The sick list included Dora Slovak, who is undergoing tests concerning her heart; Eugene Pomerleau had gall bladder surgery and will be at the Orchard Park Nursing Home for a few weeks; Marie Gagnon is recovering from shoulder surgery; and Mary Groleau is having cataract surgery.

Joan Knapp is at Edgewood Manor at the present time; Carmen Moreau is recovering from shoulder surgery and attended the dinner and meeting; and Louise Parker had replacement surgery.

It was decided that on the last Monday of each month, the group will have ice cream and cake honoring the members whose birthdays are in that month.

No meeting will be held Monday, Sept. 17, as the hall will be in use. The 50-50 was won by Carmen Moreau.
