LAS VEGAS – Jason Torrey graduated from the Las Vegas Police Academy on July 12. Out of a class of 85, he was awarded two plaques: one for “Top Gun” and the other for class leadership.
Torrey is a graduate of Edward Little High School, the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor’s degree in security and UMass Lowell with a master’s degree in security. He is a captain in the Air Force Reserve.
Torrey is the son of Erland Torrey of Poland and Jody Barnett of Gardiner and grandson of Mary Torrey and the late Gale Torrey of Poland and Patricia and Skip Hodgdon of Poland.
Upon his graduation, Torrey accepted a position with the Metropolitan Police Department, Clark County, Las Vegas, Nev.
