FARMINGTON – Stewart, a handsome Maine coon cat mix, is waiting patiently for a home at the Franklin County Animal Shelter. Staff said Stewart is known as a “Sidekick.”

Like all sidekicks, he’s good company. He likes attention, and he also likes his solitude. Staff said he doesn’t go looking for trouble, but he’s no scaredy-cat, either.

Anyone looking for a steady companion should visit with Stewart.

New dogs at the shelter include a neutered male pit mix from Industry, black lab male from Farmington and two male beagles from Industry.

The shelter will host a kitten shower from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 20, in the UMF North Dining Hall. All are welcome. Those who are unable to attend and would like to make a donation can send it to 550 Industry Rd. Farmington, Me 04938. For more information, call 778-2638.
