BRYANT POND – A community service open house program will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Franklin Grange 124, Main Street.

Poetry reading

NORWAY – April is National Poetry Month and 2007 is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

In honor of both events, Norway Memorial Library will host an evening with Longfellow at the library at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25. The event is open to the public and is appropriate for all ages. There will be refreshments. There is no need to register. For more information, call the library at 743-5309.

People who visit during National Library Week, April 16 to 21, will receive a special bookmark. Over the next two weeks the library will ask library patrons to fill out an in-house survey, and the first 50 who do so will receive a small token of the library’s appreciation.
