FARMINGTON – Like all sidekicks, Indiana is good company. Franklin County Animal Shelter staff said the cat likes attention and he likes his solitude. Anyone looking for a steady companion to travel with on the road of life should look no further, staff said.

Indiana came to the shelter in October 2004, and in that time he has become a staff favorite. While some cats crawl up legs for attention, Indiana can usually be spotted watching everything from the window sill.

But when things calm down, he is ready for attention. He loves a good back scratch and would like to go to a home where he can get a daily dose. He would also like a calmer household where he can be himself and have the occasional party time.

Indiana is the “Flavor of the Month,” so his adoption fee is lowered to $35. For more information, call the shelter at 778-2638.

New dogs at the shelter include a male Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix from Wilton, male boxer from Chesterville, black lab mix from Jay and lab-shepherd mix from Livermore.
