RUMFORD – Timothy Fournier of Rumford, a senior at Mountain Valley High School, has been selected to receive the 2006 Principal’s Award.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
Fournier has demonstrated outstanding capabilities throughout his high school years, said Principal Matthew Gilbert, adding that he has proven to be a scholar and a leader of his peers. Fournier will attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University to major in aeronautical engineering.
Fournier and other award winners and their principals attended an honors luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor.
