BRIDGTON – Lake Region Community Theatre invites all interested actors to attend a series of workshops on method acting from 7 to 9 p.m. on four consecutive Fridays, Oct. 14, 21, 28 and Nov. 4, at the Knights Hill Clubhouse, West Bridgton.

Former New York resident Bill Felts will conduct the workshops titled “An Actor Prepares.” He has spent more than 30 years acting and directing off-Broadway, summer stock and community theater. He studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and at the Actors Studio in New York City.

The workshops are an introduction to the “method” as taught by the Actors Studio and developed by Lee Strassberg. Among the legendary students of Strassberg were Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman and Marilyn Monroe.

Cost of $25 covers all four weeks. Send a check to Lake Region Community Theatre, P.O. Box 221, Casco, ME 04015. Registration will close of Oct. 10. For more information, call Mary Hubka, LRCT education, 647-3793
