LEWISTON – The United Way of Androscoggin County has received a $12,500 corporate contribution from General Electric. In addition, the employees of the Auburn General Electric facility raised $32,869 in 2003 to provide services and care to the residents of Androscoggin County.
“Funds from General Electric and its employees in Auburn have helped us to continue our mission of increasing the organized capacity of people in Androscoggin County to care for one another,” said Mark Anthoine, United Way’s 2003-2004 campaign chairman and CEO of Healey and Associates Inc.
“Their generosity will provide much needed support to the various local United Way agencies that are dedicated to assisting people in need. On behalf of the thousands of clients served by these agencies, the United Way of Androscoggin County expresses its sincere appreciation to General Electric and its employees for investing in our local community.”
