BRIDGTON — William and Beverly Chalmers of Bridgton proudly announce the marriage of their daughter, Dorothy Marie Chalmers, to Adam McKenzie Cutter, son of Michael and Paula Cutter of Kennebunk.

The Rev. Bob Vaillancourt performed the ceremony, which took place at St. Joseph’s Church in Bridgton on July 11. A garden reception followed at the residence of William and Beverly Chalmers.

The maid of honor was Marney Chalmers, sister and best friend of the bride. Best men were Jay Cutter, Aaron Cutter and Neil Cutter, brothers of the bridegroom. Bridesmaids were Anne Fleming, cousin of the bride, Meghan Connolly, family friend, Sony Cole, childhood friend, and college friends, Libby Bourke, Kristen Kindsvogel and Allison Smith. Groomsmen were Nicholas Chalmers, brother of the bride, Thomas Torrington, childhood friend, and Ryan McAuliffe and David Starr, college friends.

The flower girl was Grace Guiley, cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Matthew Leary-Simone, godson of the bride. Greeters were Abby Handy and Jordan Cossey, cousins of the bride.

Mrs. Cutter, also known as “Dottie,” is a 1999 graduate of Lake Region High School and a 2003 graduate of Bowdoin College. She is a personal lines new business producer for the Chalmers Insurance Agency in Bridgton.

Mr. Cutter is a 1999 graduate of Winthrop High School and a 2003 graduate of St. Lawrence University. He earned his master’s degree in global marketing communications and advertising at Emerson College in 2004. He works in communications for Central Maine Power in Augusta.

The couple spent their 10-day honeymoon on a Mediterranean cruise that set sail out of Venice, Italy, making stops in Bari, Italy, the Greek Islands and Croatia. They now reside in Gray.
