Ms. Whitney Dorman is the new music teacher at Philip W. Sugg Middle School. She enjoys the wonders of teaching and getting to know the students. Ms. Dorman is please when she know she has done or said something that has impacted a student.

Amazingly enough Ms. Dorman’s inspiration is a music teacher she had in fourth grade. She admired the teacher as a person and a teacher.

Ms. Dorman taught music while attending high school and college. At the high school in Hebron, CT, she would assist the music teacher a couple of days a week. While attending college she also taught music to students. Her first full-time teaching position is this year at PWS.

Ms. Dorman’s goals as a teacher are to be a good role model to her students and to teach them music. She hopes her students will be good citizens as well.
