JAY – The Jay Seventh-Day Adventist Church will have a Christmas program at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. Pastor Steve Brownell invites the public to join the spirit of Christmas. Many instrumentals will be heard as well as vocal specials. Refreshments will be served.
A clothes give-away will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 9, 10 and 11 at the Fellowship Hall of the Community Service building. Free men, women’s and children’s clothes will be made available to anyone who may be in need.
The church is at the corner of Route 4 and Oak streets, next to the car wash.
The church just completed two successful cooking classes that were also open to the community. Betty McConnachie taught healthy heart cooking in October, and holiday cooking in November. Recipes were handed out, demonstrated and sampled. All recipes are easy to do and the ingredients are whole foods with no animal products.
McConnachie will teach more healthy classes in the future at the church and the public is welcome to attend.
