NORTH WATERFORD – Oxford County United Parish churches will hold Sunday worship services at 10 a.m. Sundays, starting Nov. 2, at the North Waterford Congregational Church.
Sunday’s service will include celebration of holy communion and Christian baptism. Services will be held at North Waterford through the winter. Sunday school will meet at 10 a.m. each Sunday.
The Rev. George Frobig announces that the next meeting of the Oxford County United Parish will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at the North Waterford church.
Chinese auction
WEST PARIS – The Agnes Gray School, Tri-Town Ambulance Auxiliary and the West Paris Old Home Days Association will host a Chinese auction on Sunday, Nov. 2, at the school gym.
Doors will open at 11 a.m. with the drawings to be held at 1 p.m. (must be present to win).
Among the 500 or more donations are an overnight getaway, dinner for two, a round of golf, laser tag visits and 100 gallons of heating oil.
There will also be door prize, homemade luncheon refreshments and grab bags for adults and youngsters.
Story Hour
WEST PARIS – Story Hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the West Paris Library
Children ages 3 to 5 are invited to attend. The sessions will be held each week that school is in session. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
Stories, games and crafts will be included each week.
Knitting guild

FRYEBURG – The Fryeburg Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the American Legion Hall, Bradley Street. Refreshments will be served.

MV unit days
AUGUSTA – The Bureau of Motor Vehicles Photo License Unit will not be in Bridgton on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day or on Thursday, Nov. 27, Thanksgiving Day. However, the unit will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4.
