GREENE – The Mollyockett Chorus will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, and 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Sawyer Memorial. Admission is free and doors will open one hour before the show.
The chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International. There are approximately 30,000 women singers in more than 600 choruses in the Sweet Adeline organization.
The Mollyockett Chorus received its charter in 1996. It has a roster of 31 active members and three inactive members. The group meets each Tuesday evening in Oxford. The chorus welcomes prospective members.
Co-director Pat Fleck will direct the performance. She is a certified director and is a member of the Royal River Chorus of Yarmouth. Margo Tuttle, a past member of Royal River, is a co-director.
Active members are Cheryl Barker, Sue Bartlett, Andrea Bennett, Merry Childs, Jessica Church, Nettie Daniels, Bonnie Fox, Nancy Fox, Rose Fredericks, Darlene Glover, Sylvia Gordon, Mary Grant, Jeannie Herrick, Marge Kimball, Deb Luxton.
Also, Midge Leighton, Deb Nichols, Jan Nichols, Chris Otten, Jean Record, Michelle Record, Alda Reynolds, Barbara Roth, Nancy Schlieper, Nellie Swan, Eleanor Tracy, Jan Ward, Linda Welch and Kat Whalen.
Associate members are Pearl Anderson, Gloria Sawyer and Irma Sturgis.
