FARMINGTON – The community is invited to a hymn sing at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, Maine and Academy streets.

Members and friends of the church are sponsoring favorite hymns in memory of loved ones or other special people. The program will include old favorites like “How Great Thou Art,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” and “Sweet Hour of Prayer.” The congregation will be invited to sing many of the hymns, while others will be performed by the choir, instrumentalists or solo voices.

Soloists featured will include Crystal Poulin, Daniel Woodward, Alan Shumway, Robin Ban-on,and Jack Main.

The program will be followed by light refreshments.
