DIXFIELD – The Neighborly Senior Citizens met July 16 at the Legion Hall with 69 present. Get-well cards were sent to John Bernard, Lucille Bohren and Bob Gardner.

Present and observing July birthdays were Irene Austin and Homer Newell. Observing July anniversaries were Henry and Priscilla Dupill, Billy and Jeanette White, Bill and Cecile Packard. A postcard was received and read from Hector and Rita Girardin, who were visiting in Alaska.

Door prizes were won by Walter Jones and Bernard Arsenault. Suggestions were given for trips for 2004. A salad-sandwich lunch was served.

Entertainment was furnished by the Richard Felt Band consisting of Richard Felt on the harmonica, Dot Canwell on the keyboard, Lewis Newcomb on the banjo and Yvonne Nowlin on the guitar.

There is still some space available for the Aug. 14 trip, a cruise on the HMS Mount Washington, Lake Winnipesaukee, followed by dinner at Hart’s Turkey Farm. Those going on the Oct. 16 and 17 Mohegan Sun-Foxwoods trip are reminded that final payment is due by Sept. 10. Anyone with questions on either of these trips is asked to call Connie at 364-4189.

The next meeting will be held on Aug. 20 with entertainment by the Arsenault Family Band. Seniors membership is open to anyone age 50 and over. New members are welcome. For details call Connie at the above number.
