LEWISTON – Empower Lewiston will host a free distribution of clothing, toys and other household items from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, in the Multi-Purpose Center cafeteria, Birch Street.

The items are being provided by the women of Haven of Grace, a transitional home for women in Woonsocket, R.I. Members of Haven of Grace and Empower Lewiston will assist in giving the items to those Lewiston residents who may need them.

Barbara Rankins, president of Empower Lewiston’s board of directors, said, “We are thrilled that Haven of Grace has chosen to come to Lewiston again this year. Our first giveaway was very successful and many of our families benefitted from the generousity of this group.”

Last year’s distribution, held in November, was attended by almost 100 people.
