Norm Davis has influenced many people’s lives, including my own. Norm is a 71 year old Lewiston/Auburn native, born on March 16, 1934. He is currently employed as an Ed-Tech at Libby Tozier School in Litchfield. In my discussions with him, he mentioned that his favorite part of his job is working with kids.

Aside from his teaching career Mr. Davis is a member of the National Umpire Staff of the Amateur Softball Association. He is the Umpire-in-Chief of Region One. He enjoys umpiring because he used to play softball and it is a way to stay in touch with the game. He has recently been inducted into the National Softball Hall of Fame – this is an accomplishment that he has hoped to achieve throughout his time as an umpire. It is a big honor.

He also enjoys teaching other umpires because he says it is a lot of fun and a good experience for all involved. His future plan is to start to think about retirement. He is very thankful for his understanding wife Elaine and his 3 children. He is very proud of all his children and what they have accomplished in life. I am very grateful to Mr. Davis because he has had a positive influence on my life and I would not be the person who I am today without him. Thanks, Mr. Davis.
