AUBURN – Kindred Spirit, a mixed vocal ensemble of adults from the Sanctuary Choir of Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta, will perform at a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 15, at Central Maine Technical College’s Kirk Auditorium, Turner Street.

The concert will benefit Loaves and Fishes, a fund for people in crisis in the Sabattus area.

The group of 10 vocalists was formed 15 years ago by minister of music Donn Wisdom, who directs and accompanies the group. Kindred Spirit sings frequently for worships, concerts and community settings throughout the Atlanta area. They participate regularly in major church productions at Wieuca Road Baptist Church, including “Family Night on Peachtree” and “Hometown Holiday.”

The group has sung for holiday events, including private and company parties, receptions at Saks Fifth Avenue, “Christmas at Callanwolde” and “Festival of Trees” (a benefit for children’s health care of Atlanta). In addition, they have sung for several national Baptist meetings in Atlanta.

Kindred Spirit will present a program of popular tunes and gospel songs, involving solos and ensemble numbers, concluding with a medley of favorite patriotic songs.

Tickets are available through Pastor Mary Beth Caffey at the Pathway Community Church, Sabattus Road, or at the Dominican Sisters Convent, Lisbon Road. Suggested donations are $8 for advance tickets and $10 on the evening of the performance.

Those who wish can bring nonperishable food items, or non-food items for the local pantry.

For more information, call Caffey at 375-4537 or Sister Lucille Fournier at 375-8399.
